Franco Bruni

Franco Bruni is professor of International Monetary Theory and Policy at Bocconi University (where he served as director of the Political Economy Institute from 1994 to 2000) and vice-president of ISPI. He has been a visiting professor at various universities, including New York University and the University of California at Berkeley. He has served as an independent board of directors member for many leading Italian and foreign companies.

He is on the steering committee for the “Paolo Baffi” Center at Bocconi University and for the Sociéte Universitaire Européenne de Recherches Financières (of which he was also vice-president).

He is an advisor for the World Bank’s Convergence Programme on HomeHost Issues in southeastern Europe and a commentator for La Stampa. He is the author of publications in the fields of macroeconomics, monetary economics and financial regulation.
