Chiara Proietti Silvestri is analyst at the Bologna-based energy consultancy Rie-Ricerche Industriali ed Energetiche, focusing on the economic and political dynamics of the main global energy issues. At ISPI, Chiara is author of the “Energy Security Focus” for the Foreign Policy Observatory of the Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She currently works on the energy developments in the Mediterranean area, with particular attention to the EastMed gas discoveries.
Andrea Plebani is Research Fellow at the Catholic University of Milan, Lecturer of the Master in Middle Eastern Studies at ASERI and Associate Research Fellow at ISPI. He is a member of the Commission convened by the Italian Government to assess the threat stemming from radicalization and jihadist extremism in Italy. Before, he cooperated with the Oasis Foundation, the Insubria Centre on International Security (ICIS) and the Landau Network - Centro Volta (LNCV).
Tomislava Penkova is a Research Fellow of ISPI’s Russia and EU Eastern Neighbours Programme. She is also a researcher at the University of Kent at Brussels and a Lecturer in Russian foreign policy at the Catholic University of Milan. In 2011 and 2012 she was Visiting Researcher at the Carnegie Moscow Centre. Presently, she is working as a researcher for a Jean Monnet Research Group on EU-Russia relations and has been a member of the EUISS Task Force on Russia.
Alberto Negri has been special and war correspondent for “Il Sole 24 Ore” for the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and the Balkans from 1987 to 2017. At the beginning of his career, he was a researcher at ISPI and the editor of its weekly magazine “Relazioni Internazionali”.
Antonella Mori is Head of the ISPI Latin America Programme. Ph.D. in Economics at the Catholic University of Milan; MSc in Economics of Latin America, University of London and BA in Economics and Social Sciences at Bocconi University. She teaches Macroeconomics and Economic Prospects at Bocconi University and Macroeconomics and Political Economy at the Master's course in Diplomacy at ISPI. In 2011 she received an official award from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for having favoured the strengthening of Italian-Latin American relations.
Nicola Missaglia is a Research Fellow at ISPI's Asia Centre, in charge of the Institute’s India Desk. Before joining ISPI, he has served for several years as the Program Coordinator and Managing Editor for the international think tank Reset-Dialogues on Civilizations. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy and a Research Master’s degree in Political Theory and Contemporary History from Sciences Po Paris’ Doctoral School (France) and has extensive experience in managing projects in the MENA region and India.
