Antonio Zotti is a Research Fellow at ISPI. In 2012, he was awarded a PhD. in Politics and Institutions at the Catholic University of Milan where he is currently a lecturer in European Institutions. In 2010, he earned an MSc in Political Theory at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is WP8 manager within the 'GR: EEN - Global re-ordering' FP7 research project funded jointly by the European Commission and the University of Warwick.

Matteo Villa is Research Fellow and Head of the Migration Programme at ISPI. He undertook his Ph.D. in Comparative Politics from the Graduate School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Milan. At ISPI, he oversaw the Energy Watch, edits ISPI/Treccani’s Atlante Geopolitico, and managed RAstaNEWS, an FP7 EMU-wide macroeconomic project (2013-2016).
Dr. Villa specialises in Eurozone macroeconomic issues, European energy security, and migration issues.
Lorenzo Vidino is an academic and security expert specialised in Islamism and political violence within Europe and North America. Currently, he directs the Radicalization and International Terrorism Centre at ISPI. He also worked at ETH Zurich, the RAND Corporation, Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University, and the U.S. Institute of Peace. Vidino worked as a lecturer at Tufts University, the University of Maryland (START), the National Defense University and at the University of Zurich.
Stefano Maria Torelli is Associate Research Fellow at ISPI. His research topics include International Relations of the Middle East and North Africa, Jihadist movements and the Kurdish question. He teaches History and Institutions of the Middle East at the University IULM in Milan and is the coordinator of the summer school on the International relations of the Middle East at ISPI. Since 2013, he has been the Scientific coordinator of the "Atlante Geopolitico Treccani".
Valeria Tisalvi is Research Trainee for ISPI's Centre on Cybersecurity. She holds a MA in International Relations at the LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome. Her Master thesis focused on Cyber Warfare and its impact on International Relations and, thus, on the International Security. Previously, she worked as a Junior Analyst at the Military Affairs Desk of Ce.S.I. - Centro Studi Internazionali, after an internship as Research Assistant at the International Centre for Democracy and Democratization where she worked on WMD, Disarmament and Non-proliferation.
Valeria Talbot is a Senior Research Fellow and Co-Head of ISPI's Middle East and North Africa Centre, in charge of Middle East Studies. She also is a lecturer at the Master in Middle Eastern Studies in ASERI – Catholic University, and at the IULM University of Milan. She was ISPI scientific coordinator of Arab Trans, a FP7 funded research project on political and social transformations in the Arab World after the Arab uprisings in 2010-2011.
Lucia Tajoli is an Senior Associate Research Fellow at ISPI. After a BA in Political Economy at Bocconi University, she specialised in Advanced Studies in International Economic Policy Research at the Institute of World Economics in Kiel (Germany). In 1994 she was awarded a Ph.D. in Economics with a dissertation on the relationship between international trade and economic growth.
Ambassador Stefano Stefanini is a Scientific Advisor at ISPI. Prior to this he worked as Diplomatic Advisor to the Italian President Giorgio Napolitano between 2007 and 2010 where he provided analysis on international affairs, Transatlantic affairs, and security and defence capabilities; he also worked as a Permanent Representative of Italy at NATO; Deputy Chief of Mission of the Italian Embassy in Washington, DC. Finally, from 2013 to 2014 he served as Vice Chairman of OTO Melara, Finmeccanica.
Chiara Proietti Silvestri is analyst at the Bologna-based energy consultancy Rie-Ricerche Industriali ed Energetiche, focusing on the economic and political dynamics of the main global energy issues. At ISPI, Chiara is author of the “Energy Security Focus” for the Foreign Policy Observatory of the Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She currently works on the energy developments in the Mediterranean area, with particular attention to the EastMed gas discoveries.
