Anna Pellegatta works as Associate Director at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab) based in Brussels, Belgium. During her time at the Council, she conducted research on disinformation in Italy and Europe, leading DFRLab’s Election Watch project in Italy in 2018 and publishing analysis on foreign propaganda and disinformation narratives in the country during the COVID-19 crisis. Initially contributing from Berlin, she transferred to DFRLab’s headquarter in Washington DC in late 2018, from where she supported global operations within the executive team. In January 2020, she relocated to Brussels, establishing DFRLab’s Europe Hub, from where she oversees EMEA programming and coordinates global partnerships, trainings, and events. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Security Studies from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a second Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.
