Giulia Pellegrini

Giulia Pellegrini is the Deputy CIO for EM Fixed Income at Allianz Global Investors. Prior to to joining AllianzGI in 2020, Giulia was Head of EM Sustainable Investing and a Portfolio Manager at BlackRock since 2015. Previously, Giulia was Chief Economist for Sub-Saharan Africa in J.P.Morgan's EM Research team and a Junior Professional Associate (JPA) at the World Bank, in the Africa Finance and Private Sector Development Department in Washington D.C. Giulia started her career as an Economist in the Policy & Strategy Division of the Debt Management Office of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Giulia holds master degrees in Development Economics and in Econometrics from the University of Oxford, St Antony's College, and Birkbeck College, respectively, and a BSc in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies - University of London.
