Associate Research Fellow Middle East and North Africa

Giuseppe Dentice

Giuseppe Dentice (Ph.D) is an Associate Research Fellow at the Middle East and North Africa Centre at ISPI, where he is researching on geopolitical and security issues in the MENA region, and Teaching Assistant at the Catholic University in Milan.

His research interests apply also on Egypt, Israel and Gulf monarchies, and socio-political transformations in the Greater Middle East.

He obtained his Ph.D in “Politics and Institutions” at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, where he is nominated “cultore della materia” (subject expert and teaching assistant) in “History of Civilisations and Political Cultures” and “International History - The Wider Mediterranean”, respectively since 2019 and 2020. His academic research focus on the evolution of US relations with Egypt and on US foreign policy in the Middle East, as well as international relations of the Middle East.

He published extensively – in Italy and abroad – on a wide range of issues regarding the MENA region and international politics. He contributed also to several reports for the Italian Parliament and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and he contributes to the annual editions of ISPI/Treccani’s Geopolitial Atlas since 2013. He is also regularly interviewed on Middle East affairs by Italian and international media outlets.
