Rodolfo Helg is a Professor of Economics and Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Cattaneo University-LIUC.
His area of research is in applied international economics. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals on the determinants of comparative advantages, on the dynamics of countries trade patterns, on less developed countries terms of trade, on euro and optimal currency areas, on exchange rate dynamics, on the labour market implications of globalization, on the quantification of the economic effects of liberalization scenarios in the WTO Doha Round, on the economic effects of trade liberalization between EU and Mediterranean countries, on the EU-US trade potential in the context of TTIP, on global value chains in Asia.
He is in the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Comparative Economics. He has been consultant for the EU Commission, for the OECD, for the European Investment Bank and for the Italian Office of the Prime Minister.
In the last few years he has taught courses in International Economics at IESEG School of Management Lille/Paris, at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, at University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, Lugano, at ISPI, at Bicocca University, Milan, at Shenzhen International Business School, Shenzhen, at Bocconi University, at Johns Hopkins University–SAIS Bologna and at S.P. Jain Institute Management & Research, Mumbai.
