Cooperating with China as a new global champion

Exactly 40 years have passed since the beginning of China's economic reforms and opening up. Today, the country is no longer the factory of the world but an industrial power aiming at the forefront of the main high-tech sectors, in direct competition with Europe. After benefiting greatly from the Western economic globalisation, today's China stands as an advocate of a new type of multilateralism and a new era of global integration, in which it aims at reaching a leading role in the definition of institutions, rules, and standards. What sort of multilateralism will be feasible and what could the opportunities be for Italy to establish an advantageous cooperation?

Programme

The conference was part of the activities of the China Program, promoted by ISPI and Pirelli, and Focus China, the project promoted by ISPI and the Italy China Foundation on the Chinese provinces' business opportunities. On the occasion of the event, the ISPI Report "China: Champion of (which) Globalization?" by Alessia Amighini will be published, available online on the ISPI website.

Registration is required through the following link.

The access to the room will be allowed as long as seats are available.

Thursday, 7 June, 2018 - 09:00
