Digital sovereignty divided among public and private interest: challenges and opportunities for Europe and Italy

Security and growth of both Italy and the European Union are increasingly safeguarded and promoted online. This meeting will focus on the role played by the digital dimension as an area of growing political and institutional importance - also in the context of the Great Power Competition - and will try to answer some key questions. What is intended by digital sovereignty? How do you get it and what role can the European Union play in it? What are the specific challenges and opportunities for Italy? How can be public and private priorities balanced in this context?
