India: new scenarios, new business opportunities for Italy

India: new scenarios, new business opportunities for Italy

Given the increased assertiveness of China’s foreign policy and the change in continuity brought about by the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States, from a political standpoint India is now at a turning point in the definition of its role in Asia and in the world. In parallel, from an economic standpoint, in light of world economic trends and given the need for modernization through infrastructural plans and programs that would attract foreign investment, Italian companies stand to benefit from significant economic cooperation opportunities (between 2006 and 2012 Italy was India’s first European trade partner).

Against this multifaceted backdrop ISPI organized the workshop “India: new scenarios, new business opportunities for Italy”.

The event, part of the cycle “BRICS and beyond. Long term scenarios and prospects for Italy” in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has been held in Rome on May 29th.
Experts, diplomats and representatives of public institutions and private companies with relevant experiences in the area attended the event.
