The world in 2021. Opportunities and risks for businesses in the time of pandemic

The economic shock triggered by the pandemic is added to the many unsolved crises crowding the international scenario: from the increasingly urgent climatic crisis to the clash between the USA and China, from the Brexit uncertainties to the difficult start of the new American Presidency and the crowds that may get inflamed again after the lockdown.

In such a context is even more complex to make predictions, however it is possible to identify some trends. Are we going to see a world with two tracks even greater, with growing inequality and therefore, more social unrest? There will eventually be a green turning-point for our planet? Will 2021 be the year of Europe, also thanks to the Recovery Plan? What the role for Italy, holding the G20 rotating Presidency? These and many other questions were discussed during this conference, organized in the context of The Centre for Business Scenarios, promoted by ISPI and Intesa Sanpaolo in partnership with Sace. For this occasion, a special edition of the dossier entitled “Il mondo che verrà 2021” was released.
