Peter Y. A. Ryan

Peter Ryan is full Professor of Applied Security at the University of Luxembourg since Feb 2009. Since joining the University of Luxembourg he has grown the APSIA (Applied Security and Information Assurance) group that is now more than 25 strong. He has around 25 years of experience in cryptography, information assurance and formal verification. He pioneered the application of process calculi to modelling and analysis of secure systems, in particular presenting the first process algebraic characterization of non-interference taking account of non-determinism (CSFW 1990).

Luigi Martino

Luigi Martino (PhD) teaches Cyber Security and ICT Policies at the School of Political Science “Cesare Alfieri” at the University of Florence and he is the coordinator of the Center for Cyber Security and International Relations Studies (CCSIRS) a specialized observatory of the CSSII. He obtained the PhD at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa with a research project focused on the protection of critical infrastructures from cyber attacks in Italy through a public-private partnership model.

Laura Cavalli

Laura Cavalli si è laureata in Discipline Economiche e Sociali presso l'Università Bocconi nel 2004 (triennale) e nel 2006 (laurea specialistica) ha conseguito il PhD in Economics and Finance of Public Administration (DEFAP) nel 2010. Ha lavorato presso il CERGAS Bocconi dal 2006 al 2008 e dopo esperienze come ricercatore in Germania e Svizzera è stata post-doc 4 anni presso l'Università di Verona impegnata in un progetto finanziato dal Ministero dell'Istruzione (FIRB).

Rappresenta inoltre uno dei problemi africani di maggiore criticità che la comunità internazionale si trova ad affrontare oggi.

Economy: Back to Inflation?

Europe’s economic activity has bounced back to pre-pandemic levels. However, the recovery also entails new challenges.

 

The EU economy rebounded vigorously in spring 2021 and continued riding the re-opening wave over the summer. Not only is the EU as a whole back to the pre-pandemic level of economic activity and employment in third quarter of 2021, but by 2023 it is also projected to return to the steady output path that the economy was set to follow before the pandemic, moving onto an expansionary path.
