Prof. Michaël Tanchum teaches international relations of the Middle East and North Africa at the University of Navarra, Spain and is a senior fellow at the Austrian Institute for European and Security Studies (AIES). He also holds fellow positions at the Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace, the Hebrew University, Israel, and at the Centre for Strategic Policy Implementation at Başkent University in Ankara, Turkey (Başkent-SAM).

Valeria Talbot is a Senior Research Fellow and Co-Head of ISPI's Middle East and North Africa Centre, in charge of Middle East Studies. She also is a lecturer at the Master in Middle Eastern Studies in ASERI – Catholic University, and at the IULM University of Milan. Simone’s research activity focuses on climate and energy issues. He works on the EU climate and energy policy and on the political economy of global decarbonisation. With a record of numerous scientific publications, he is also the author of Global energy fundamentals (Cambridge University Press, 2020) and L’energia del mondo (Il Mulino, 2020).
Eleonora Tafuro Ambrosetti is a research fellow at the Russia, Caucasus and Central Asia Centre at ISPI. Prior to that, she was a Marie Curie fellow based at the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey, where she has also pursued her PhD. She has had research stays at the Saint Petersburg State University and at the London headquarters of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR).
Gaia Taffoni was a research trainee at ISPI and a PhD. student in Political Studies at the University of Milan, NASP. She holds a BA in International Studies at University of Bologna and an MA in International Relations, European Institutions curriculum, at the University of Bologna. Her research interests focus on the European external action, European foreign policy toward the MENA region and democratisation processes.
Dr. Niklas Swanström is the Executive Director of the Institute for Security and Development Policy, and one of its co-founders. He is a Fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute of the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
Kazuto Suzuki is Professor of Science and Technology Policy at the Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Tokyo, Japan. He received a Ph.D. from Sussex European Institute, University of Sussex, England. He was the Associate Professor at the University of Tsukuba from 2000 to 2008 and served as Professor of International Politics at Hokkaido University until 2020. He served as an expert in the Panel of Experts for Iranian Sanction Committee under the United Nations Security Council from 2013 to July 2015.
Jeremi Suri is a professor of history and public affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, where he holds the Mack Brown Distinguished Chair for Leadership in Global Affairs. He is the author and editor of nine books on foreign policy and political leadership. His most recent book is "The Impossible Presidency: The Rise and Fall of America’s Highest Office".
