Carolina de Stefano is an Associate Research Fellow at the Russia, Caucasus and Central Asia Centre at ISPI. She is currently completing her Ph.D. at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, and she is a visiting researcher at the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow. She obtained her master’s degree from Luiss University in Rome, with a thesis on the Rule of Law in Russia.
Dr. Giovanna De Maio is a visiting fellow at the Institute for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies (IERES) at the George Washington University, where she focused on Italy’s relations with the US and Russia. Prior to joining IERES, De Maio was a visiting fellow at the Center for the United States and Europe at the Brookings Institution, where she developed impactful research on Europe and transatlantic relations.
Angelina Davydova is an expert on international and Russian climate and environmental policies, civil society movements and media. She is the director of an NGO "Office of Environmental Information', based in St.Petersburg, Russia. She is an environmental and climate journalist, regularly contributing to Russian and international media. She also teaches at St.Petersburg State University, The European University in St.Petersburg and the MARCH School of Architecture. She has been an observer with the UN climate negotiations (UNFCCC) since 2008.
Emily Couch is a Staff Intern at the Kennan Institute. She recently completed a double Master’s degree in Russian & East European Studies at University College London and the Higher School of Economics (Moscow). She has just returned from a year living in Russia where, in addition to her degree, she interned with independent Russian pollster, The Levada Center. Her articles have been published by news outlets including The Moscow Times and The Calvert Journal.
Paolo Calzini is a Scientific Advisor at ISPI. He works as research fellow at Bundesinstitut für Ostwissenschaftliche und Internationale Studien and has been visiting professor at the University of Milan, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, SAIS Washington, the University of Bologna and the Istituto Universitario Orientale. Calzini has been visiting lecturer at several universities and institutes, such as the NATO Defense College, the Freie Universität, Wilton Park, the Gorbachev Foundation, the Istituto Diplomatico degli Esteri and the Centro Alti Studi per la Difesa....
Nicolas Bouchet is a Berlin-based fellow and senior editor at the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), specialising in democracy promotion and relations between the United States, the EU, and Russia.
