David J. Garcia Cantalapiedra holds a PhD in Political Science (Honors) by the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). He was awarded the 2001 National Award of Defense by the Spanish Ministry of Defense. He currently is Professor at the Department of International Relations of the Faculty of Political Sciences, and Director of the UCM Research Group for Security and Cooperation.
Francesk Fusha is an Assistant Research Fellow for the Program on Security and Strategic Studies at ISPI. He holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in International Relations from the University of Milan. Before joining ISPI he worked as Research Assistant for the program on Kosovo Security Sector Observer at KIPRED (Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development).

Researcher at the Department of Asian and North African Studies of Venice “Ca' Foscari” University, Carlo Frappi is Associate Research Fellow for the Russia, Caucasus and Central Asia Centre at ISPI. Frappi, who holds a Ph.D. in European History, is also Adjunct Professor in Regional Studies at Catholic University of Milan and, since 2013, is a Member of the Board of Directors at the "Association for the Italian Study of Central Asia and the Caucasus" (ASIAC).
Alec Forss is a project coordinator and editor with ISDP's Korea Center. He holds an M.A. from the Department for Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University. Focused on peace and security issues on the Korean Peninsula, he also has a particular interest in intercommunal conflict, environmental security, sustainability, and minority rights. He recently lived in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he conducted field research on civil society peacebuilding.
Mary Fitzgerald is a researcher and consultant specialising in the Euro-Mediterranean region with a particular focus on Libya. She has reported on and researched Libya since February 2011 and lived there in 2014. She has conducted research on Libya for the International Crisis Group, European Council on Foreign Relations, European University Institute and United States Institute of Peace among others. She has consulted for a number of international organisations working in Libya including in the areas of peace building, local governance, and civil society.
Fitriani joins the Department of Politics and International Relations, CSIS in 2016. Broadly, her research focus includes defence and security in Asia Pacific, women in peace and security, non-traditional security, as well as Indonesia politics and foreign policy. She specialises in women's participation in international peacekeeping operation.
