Ghassan Salamé served as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative (SRSG) and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), from 2017 until March 2020. In 2003, Mr. Salamé served as the Political Adviser to the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), where he played a crucial role in bringing together Iraqi factions. Laureata in Scienze Internazionali e Diplomatiche presso la Scuola di Scienze Politiche dell'Università di Bologna (Campus di Forlì), si è specializzata con un master di secondo livello in Esperti in Politica ed in Relazioni Internazionali dell'Università LUMSA, collaborando con lo IAI come assistente alla ricerca (2016-2017) e lavorando a progetti europei legati alla difesa.

Alessandro Rubino is Lecturer in Economics at the University of Bari. Before completing his PhD in Energy Economics, he has worked at Ofgem as a Regulatory Economist. In addition, he has worked on the design and implementation of the incentive scheme for the national transmission system operator for gas and electricity. From June 2009 to July 2012, he has been a Research Assistant at the Florence School of Regulation (European University Institute) within the Robert Schuman Centre, a research unit specialised in applied economics.
