Francesca Robbiati

Francesca Robbiati is ISPI Head of General Services. She holds a Msc in Economics and Management of Government and International Organizations from Bocconi University, Milan. After an internship at the DG for Human Resources at the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, she joined ISPI as Training courses programme manager. From 2005 to 2011 she was head of the ISPI School. From 2012 to 2019 she was Head for Operations and External Relations, in charge of staff management, economic planning and management control, supervision of extraordinary maintnance.

Rafiq Raji

Rafiq Raji is a research fellow at the NTU-SBF Centre for African Studies at Nanyang Business School in Singapore. A former Africa economist at Standard Chartered in London, Dr. Raji is also an Africa expert with Euromoney Country Risk. At home in Nigeria, he writes a weekly Africa-focused column for Business Day. A former senior correspondent with London-based New African and African Banker magazines, Dr. Raji has written for Forbes Africa and Africa Investor and has been interviewed by Al Jazeera, CNBC Africa, TRT World, and the BBC. Dr.

Lia Quartapelle

Lia Quartapelle is a Research Fellow of the Africa Programme at ISPI. She lectures the module of Policies for Development Cooperation at the University of Pavia. She is an economist by training and she holds degrees from the Universities of Pavia and Florence. She got a Master of Science in Economics with reference to Africa at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and a PhD in Development Economics at the University of Pavia with a dissertation on aid and employment in Ghana and Mozambique.
