Carlo Papa

Carlo Papa is Director of Enel Foundation. 

Born in Palermo in 1971, he holds an MSc in Economics, a PhD in Management Engineering and the TRIUM MBA jointly issued by NYU Stern, London School of Economics and HEC. Started his professional career in IBM Ireland and UK.

Soli Özel

Soli Özel joined Institut Montaigne as a senior fellow in June 2018. He is professor of International Relations at Kadir Has University in Istanbul, a fellow at the Robert Bosch Academy, and a columnist for the Turkish daily Habertürk. Since 2002, Soli Özel has also contributed to Project Syndicate on different occasions, commenting on Turkish politics. He served on the board of directors of International Alert and is currently a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations.

Matthew Oxenford

Prior to joining Chatham House, Matthew worked as an assistant manager at Deloitte UK, advising on structural reform of the banking sector and implementation of new prudential regulations stemming from the 2008 financial crisis. Before London, he previously served in several political and public sector positions in Washington D.C. Matthew holds a Masters in Public Administration from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Public Policy studies from the University of Chicago.

Antonino Occhiuto

Antonino Occhiuto, based in Rome, completed his postgraduate studies in London at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) where he obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in International Politics, a course specifically focused on the Middle East and security and defence affairs. His main areas of research and specialisation are the relations between EU and GCC member states, internal political dynamics in the GCCs, Yemen and security in the Gulf.

Rose Ngugi

Rose Ngugi is the Executive Director of the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) and serves as the Secretary to the Board. She is involved in providing technical guidance and capacity building on policy and strategy formulation to the Government of Kenya and other stakeholders, with the overall aim of contributing to the achievement of national development goals. Before then, she was a Senior Advisor in the Office of Executive Director, Africa Group 1, International Monetary Fund, and Washington D.C. Dr.

Orzala Nemat

Dr. Orzala Nemat, an internationally known Afghan scholar & think tank leader. She is an expert in political ethnography, holding a PhD in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and MSc in Development Planning from the University College London (UCL). Dr. Nemat has firsthand experience in how it is to be a war refugee for fourteen years in Pakistan. However, she chose to rise above the situation by putting the focus on helping women and girls in her community and developing her career.

Gabriella Muscolo

Since May 2014, Gabriella Muscolo is a Commissioner at the Italian Competition Authority.

Appointed as a Judge in 1985, she sat at the Specialist Section for Intellectual Property and Competition Law in the District Court of Rome and at the Court for Undertakings in Rome.

From 2009 to 2014, she was appointed member of the Enlarged Board of Appeal-EBA of the European Patent Office-EPO.

Since 2018, she is a Fellow of the Centre of European Law of King's College London.

Nicola Morfini

Nicola Morfini is an expert in Latin American politics and security. His articles can be found in Al Jazeera, Foreign Affairs, and Forbes, among other international media outlets. He currently works as an Anti-Money Laundering expert for a multinational firm. Previously, he was a professor of International Politics, and Deputy Director of the MBA Program at the Pan-American University - IPADE Business School (Mexico City). Nicola has extensive research and teaching experience in several think tanks and universities in Europe, Latin America, and Central Asia.

Giacomo Montrasio

Giacomo Montrasio was a Research Trainee for the Europe and Global Governance Centre. He previously worked in private companies, in charge of the internationalization process. After a bachelor in International and European Studies,  he obtained a MA degree in International Relations at the University of Milan. He holds a MBA from Luiss Business School and he has recently concluded ISPI’s Master in Diplomacy.

Alberto Monteverdi

Alberto Monteverdi holds a Second Level Master in Economics at the LUISS School of European Political Economy (SEP). He also attended courses in political economy at the London School of Economics (LSE) and the Institute for Studies on Economics and Employment (ISEO). He worked as a researcher at LUISS Research Centre on International and European Organizations and at Ministry of Economy and Finance. Today he works for one of the major Italian banking groups.
