Carlo Mongini is a Research Assistant at the Europe and Global Governance Programme. He holds an MA in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and an MSc in Public Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He writes for online journals and newspapers about European politics. Prior to joining ISPI, he collaborated with a US-based geopolitical consultancy as an expert on Italian politics and interned with an MEP in Brussels.
Nicola Missaglia is ISPI's Communications and Publications Manager, as well as a Research Fellow at ISPI's Asia Centre, in charge of the India Desk. Before joining ISPI, he has served for several years as the Scientific Coordinator and Managing Editor for the international think tank Reset-Dialogues on Civilizations. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy and a Research Master’s degree in Political Theory and Contemporary History from Sciences Po Paris’ Doctoral School (France) and has extensive experience in managing projects in the MENA region and India.
In January 2021, Dr. Stormy-Annika Mildner (M.Sc.) became the Executive Director of the Aspen Institute Germany in Berlin. As adjunct lecturer, she teaches at the Hertie School classes on political economy.
Karim Mezran is director of the North Africa Initiative and resident senior fellow with the Rafik Hariri Center and Middle East Programs at the Atlantic Council focusing on the processes of change in North Africa. As a distinguished Libyan-Italian scholar, Dr. Mezran brings enormous depth of understanding to the transition in Libya and elsewhere in the region. He is the co-editor of three volumes published with Dr.

Giampiero Massolo is President of Fincantieri S.p.A (2016) and President of the Italian Institute for International Political Studies – ISPI (2017). A career diplomat, Ambassador Massolo was the Coordinator of the Italian Intelligence Community (2012-2016), the Prime Minister’s personal representative (Sherpa) for the G8 and G20 Summits (2008-2009), the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2007-2012).
