Alec Forss is a project coordinator and editor with ISDP's Korea Center. He holds an M.A. from the Department for Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University. Focused on peace and security issues on the Korean Peninsula, he also has a particular interest in intercommunal conflict, environmental security, sustainability, and minority rights. He recently lived in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he conducted field research on civil society peacebuilding. He has written for a variety of publications and outlets, including the Oxford International Encyclopedia of Peace, Transitions Online, Cultural Survival, Asia Times, Insight on Conflict, Inter Press Service, and the New Security Beat of the Wilson Center.
