Bai Shaima Baraguir is an independent scholar and a peace practitioner from the Philippines. Her areas of expertise include research, strategic planning, and conflict analysis. Bam has more than ten years of experience working on conflict in Southeast Asia. Her work on the Bangsamoro conflict includes being part of the Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Team of the Government of the Philippines-Moro Islamic Liberation Front (GPH-MILF) International Monitoring Team (IMT) and the Conflict Management Team of The Asia Foundation-Philippines. She acquired her MA in Conflict Resolution at the University of Bradford and her undergraduate degree, BA International Studies major in Asian Studies from Ateneo de Davao University.
