Chiara Proietti Silvestri is analyst at the Bologna-based energy consultancy Rie-Ricerche Industriali ed Energetiche, focusing on the economic and political dynamics of the main global energy issues. At ISPI, Chiara is author of the “Energy Security Focus” for the Foreign Policy Observatory of the Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She currently works on the energy developments in the Mediterranean area, with particular attention to the EastMed gas discoveries. In addition, her research field includes the green finance progress, the impact of unconventional fossil fuels, the industrial strategy of the oil majors, the consensus-building processes, the energy poverty. She is also involved in the elaboration of reports on investment trends and global energy scenarios. She has published several articles in specialized journals on energy security issues. She is member of the editorial board of Rivista Energia, a quarterly magazine on energy issues. She holds a MA from the University of Bologna (Forlì Campus) in International and Diplomatic Sciences.
