Christos Peristianis is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Sociology, University of Essex, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. He has a Master's degree from the University of Bologna in Research and Studies in Eastern Europe, with a focus on History and Sociology; a Master 1st Level from La Sapienza University of Rome in International Policies and Crisis Management and a Bachelor's in European Studies from the European University Cyprus. He has presented in various Conferences around Europe while his research interests focus on oral history, forced displacement and the idea of 'home' among refugees.
