Maxim A. Suchkov, PhD, is an Associate Research Fellow at ISPI. Currently, he is the Director of the Center for the Advanced American Studies (CAAS) at MGIMO. He is also non-resident scholar at the Middle East Institute, non-resident expert of the Russian International Affairs Council and of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
Suchkov was a Fulbright visiting fellow at Georgetown University (2010-11) and New York University (2015). Maxim’s areas of interest include Russian foreign policy, US-Russia relations, security and counter-terrorism in the Middle East. In addition to his native Russian, he speaks English and Spanish.
