Miguel Martí

Journalist

Miguel has more than 25 years of experience in communications, first as a correspondent for international press agencies, such as Inter Press Service, Radio France and Radio Nederland; and later as a consultant in Strategic Communications.He was the founder and president of "The Map Communications" which represents PROI Worldwide in Costa Rica, the largest network of independent communications agencies in the world. He was Vice President of Communications at GrupoNueva, a holding company that at that time owned the companies Amanco, Masisa and The Plycem Company. He represented GrupoNueva at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development
He was the founder and first Regional Director of the Porter Novelli network in Latin America; and a member of the Global Board of Directors of Porter Novelli International.
He was Director of Communications for Latin America at Greenpeace, and in that capacity he participated in the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. He was founder and president of the Central American Journal of Human Development "Hombres de Maíz", winner of the UNICEF Award for the best communication media in Central America. He was Director de Sostenibilidad y Relaciones Corporativas de Cuestamoras.
He is founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Council for the Promotion of Competitiveness.
