Wilson Ugangu is a senior lecturer of media studies at Multimedia University of Kenya, where he also holds the administrative position of Associate Dean, Faculty of Media & Communication Studies. He has taughtand practiced media and communication for over 15 years. During this period, he has written and researched extensively on several topics relating to Kenya’s and Africa’s media and attendant issues of policy, democracy & participation, media & conflict, international communication, and globalization. He is a founding member of the East Africa Communication Association (EACA) and has served on the board for several years before election to the position of President of the association in 2018. He holds a Doctor of Literature & Philosophy (DLitt, et Phil) from the University of South Africa.
