Her focus areas are US politics and the Middle East, where she has lived for the past five years. An independent analyst and journalist, she produced video footage from Mosul for Italian TV while covering the battle to oust IS in Iraq. She conducted numerous interviews with Al Qaeda and IS jihadists including documentaries on de-radicalization partially filmed inside Beirut's Roumieh prison. She is a regular TV guest commentator on the US and the Middle East for the Italian national channels Mediaset, RAI, Sky etc.

Fabio Parola has served as a Research Assistant for the ISPI Centre on Europe and Global Governance. He currently is a Blue Book Trainee at the European Commission, in the DG for Communication. From 2015 to 2018, he worked as a junior reporter for the Trento bureau of Corriere della Sera. Stella Morgana is a scholar, researcher and lecturer focusing on the Middle East and contemporary Iran in particular. Her research explores the dynamics of political participation, labor politics, hegemonic and counter-hegemonic discourses. She has held teaching and research positions at the University of Amsterdam and Leiden University (Middle East History and Politics, Comparative Politics, History of Contemporary Iran). She received her PhD from Leiden University with a dissertation on the role of workers in Iran between the 1979 revolution and the 2009 Green Movement.
Andrea Manciulli is Senior Associate Research Fellow at ISPI. He is Head of Italy’s Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA, 2014-2018) and since November 2017 he is President of the NATO PA-GSM (Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group). From 2015 to 2017 he was Rapporteur of NATO PA-GSM in charge of the reports on: "Daesh: the challenge to regional and international security", "The expansion of Daesh to Libya and the Western Mediterranean" and "ISIL/DAESH and al-Qaeda threat to Europe".
Shiraz Maher is Senior Associate Research Fellow at ISPI and Director of the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR) and a member of the War Studies Department at King’s College London.
