Simone Tagliapietra is a Research fellow at Bruegel. He is also Adjunct professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and at The Johns Hopkins University – SAIS Europe. Simone’s research activity focuses on climate and energy issues. He works on the EU climate and energy policy, on the political economy of EU decarbonisation, on green industrial policy, on just transition and on global climate governance.

Fernando Reinares, Senior Associate Research Fellow at ISPI Radicalization and International Terrorism Centre, is director of the Program on Global Terrorism at Elcano Royal Institute and Professor of Political Science and Security Studies at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, both in Madrid, as well as Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Chiara Proietti Silvestri is analyst at the Bologna-based energy consultancy Rie-Ricerche Industriali ed Energetiche, focusing on the economic and political dynamics of the main global energy issues. At ISPI, Chiara is author of the “Energy Security Focus” for the Foreign Policy Observatory of the Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She currently works on the energy developments in the Mediterranean area, with particular attention to the EastMed gas discoveries.
Agostino Inguscio is a Policy Officer at the European Commission and a visiting lecturer in Sustainable Development at the University of Milan.
He holds a doctorate in Economic and Social History from the University of Oxford.
Before joining the Commission he worked as a post doc at the Economic Growth Center of Yale University (2012-2014), as a lecturer in Economic History at the University of Cape Town (2014-2015) and as a visiting lecturer in European Business Environment at the ESCP Business School (2010-2011).
Researcher at the Department of Asian and North African Studies of Venice “Ca' Foscari” University, Carlo Frappi is Associate Research Fellow for the Russia, Caucasus and Central Asia Centre at ISPI. Frappi, who holds a Ph.D. in European History, is also Adjunct Professor in Regional Studies at Catholic University of Milan and, since 2013, is a Member of the Board of Directors at the "Association for the Italian Study of Central Asia and the Caucasus" (ASIAC).
