She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law at UB (2004). Since 2011, she is a researcher at the Centre for Social Studies (CES), University of Coimbra.

Malancha Chakrabarty is a Lead Investigator with the Climate Change and Development Initiative at the Observer Research Foundation. Her research interests encompass issues related to economic and social development in Africa and India, and the links between climate change, agriculture, and food security.
