Alessandro Rubino

Alessandro Rubino is Lecturer in Economics at the University of Bari. Before completing his PhD in Energy Economics, he has worked at Ofgem as a Regulatory Economist. In addition, he has worked on the design and implementation of the incentive scheme for the national transmission system operator for gas and electricity. From June 2009 to July 2012, he has been a Research Assistant at the Florence School of Regulation (European University Institute) within the Robert Schuman Centre, a research unit specialised in applied economics.

Francesca Robbiati

Francesca Robbiati is ISPI Head of General Services. She holds a Msc in Economics and Management of Government and International Organizations from Bocconi University, Milan. After an internship at the DG for Human Resources at the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, she joined ISPI as Training courses programme manager. From 2005 to 2011 she was head of the ISPI School. From 2012 to 2019 she was Head for Operations and External Relations, in charge of staff management, economic planning and management control, supervision of extraordinary maintnance.

Fernando Reinares

Fernando Reinares, Senior Associate Research Fellow at ISPI Radicalization and International Terrorism Centre, is director of the Program on Global Terrorism at Elcano Royal Institute and Professor of Political Science and Security Studies at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, both in Madrid, as well as Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Elżbieta Proń

Elżbieta Proń holds a PhD in Contemporary Chinese Studies from the University of Nottingham. She is affiliated with the Institute of Political Science at the University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland). She was a Visiting Researcher to the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (2011), KIMEP University in Kazakhstan (2011-2012), and the American University of Central Asia in Kyrgyzstan (2012). She also taught at the OSCE Academy of Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan.

Responsabile del programma “Ue, politica e istituzioni” e responsabile delle relazioni istituzionali dello IAI, Nicoletta Pirozzi si occupa principalmente di governance dell’Unione europea, aspetti politici e istituzionali della Pesc/Psdc, gestione civile delle crisi, rapporti tra Ue e Nazioni Unite e relazioni Ue-Africa. È professore a contratto presso il Dipartimento di Scienze politiche dell’Università degli Studi “Roma Tre” ” e Associate Analyst presso l’EU Institute for Security Studies (EU-ISS) di Parigi.

Fabio Petito

Fabio Petito is Senior Associate Research Fellow in ISPI and Head of the "Religions and International Relations" Programme promoted by ISPI and the Freedom of Religion or Belief & Foreign Policy Initiative (FoRB&FPI), University of Sussex - UK. He is Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Sussex. He has taught at SOAS in London, the ESCP-EAP in Paris and at ‘L’Orientale’ in Naples.

Tomislava Penkova

Tomislava Penkova was a Research Fellow of ISPI’s Russia and EU Eastern Neighbours Programme. She is also a researcher at the University of Kent at Brussels and a Lecturer in Russian foreign policy at the Catholic University of Milan. In 2011 and 2012 she was Visiting Researcher at the Carnegie Moscow Centre. Presently, she is working as a researcher for a Jean Monnet Research Group on EU-Russia relations and has been a member of the EUISS Task Force on Russia.

Nicola Nobile is Associate Director within the macroeconomics forecasting division of Oxford Economics. He joined Oxford Economics in September 2012 in Oxford and now is the Chief Italian Economist, based in Milan. Nicola has a BA in Finance and a MSc in Economics, both from Bocconi University.
