Paolo Calzini

Paolo Calzini is a Scientific Advisor at ISPI. He works as research fellow at Bundesinstitut für Ostwissenschaftliche und Internationale Studien and has been visiting professor at the University of Milan, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, SAIS Washington, the University of Bologna and the Istituto Universitario Orientale. Calzini has been visiting lecturer at several universities and institutes, such as the NATO Defense College, the Freie Universität, Wilton Park, the Gorbachev Foundation, the Istituto Diplomatico degli Esteri and the Centro Alti Studi per la Difesa....

Kerry Brown

Kerry Brown is Professor of Chinese Studies and Director of the Lau China Institute at King's College, London. From 2012 to 2015 he was Professor of Chinese Politics and Director of the China Studies Centre at the University of Sydney, Australia. Prior to this, he worked at Chatham House from 2006 to 2012, as Senior Fellow and then Head of the Asia Programme.

Davide Borsani
Davide Borsani is an Associate Research Fellow at ISPI and Post-Ph.D. Research Fellow at the Catholic University of Milan, where he is currently researching on the Atlantic community in contemporary history. He completed his Ph.D. in Institutions and Politics at the Catholic University in 2015, where he is also a Teaching Assistant for the courses "History of International Relations and Institutions", "History of Treaties and International Politics" and "History of Political Relations between North America and Europe".

Claudio Bertolotti

Claudio Bertolotti (PhD) is Director and Head of Research at Swiss-Italian company START InSight. His academic and professional research focus on terrorism, radicalisation, Intellicence, security in Mediterranean area, conterinsurgency, small wars and asymmetric conflicts in the MENA area (in particular Afghanistan Syria and Libya). Since 2015, he is Senior Researcher at the Centre Euromaghrébin de Recherches et d’Etudes Stratégiques (CEMRES) in Tunis and Italian Representative within the ‘5+5 Defense Initiative’ international research working group.

Niagalé Bagayoko

Niagalé Bagayoko is a political scientist. She has done extensive field research on security systems in African Francophone countries, Western security policies (France, United States, European Union) in Africa and African conflict-management mechanisms, focusing on the interface between security and development. She has taught at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Science Po) in Paris.
