John J. Kirton is director of the G20 Research Group and the G7 Research Group, co-director of the BRICS Research Group, and co-director of the Global Health Diplomacy Program, all based at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at Trinity College in the University of Toronto, where he is a professor of political science and Canadian foreign policy.

Can Kasapoğlu

Asst. Prof. Dr. Can Kasapoglu is a War Studies and Security Studies scholar and military analyst. Dr. Kasapoglu gained his Ph.D. degree from the Turkish War College-Strategic Researches Institute in 2011 by successfully defending his dissertation on Assessing Conventional Forces in Low Intensity Conflicts, and his M.Sc. degree from the Turkish Military Academy-Defense Sciences Institute in 2008 with his thesis on Turkish armed resistance and special forces operations in Cyprus before 1974. In 2015 – 2016, Dr. Kasapoglu pursued his academic studies in the NATO Defense College, Rome.

Marcin Kaczmarski

Dr Marcin Kaczmarski is a lecturer in the School of Social & Political Sciences, University of Glasgow. In his research, Marcin focuses on Russia-China relations, comparative regionalism, Russia’s foreign and security policy and the role of rising powers in international politics. He is currently finalising a research project that compares Russia’s Eurasian Union and China’s New Silk Road. Marcin is the author of Russia-China relations in the post-crisis international order (Routledge 2015).

Marc Julienne

Marc Julienne is Head of China Research within the Centre for Asian Studies of the French institute of international relations (IFRI), since 2020. He mainly focuses on China’s foreign, security and defense policy, as well as on domestic policy and the evolution of the Chinese national security apparatus.

He has a PhD in political science and internationale relations from the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO, Paris), and he is an Associate Fellow with the French Research Institute on East Asia (IFRAE, Inalco / Paris Diderot University / CNRS).

Leo Hoffmann-Axthelm is the EU-representative of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) since 2015, having founded its German chapter in 2013. ICAN was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017, in recognition of its role to bring about a global prohibition of nuclear weapons. Leo is also Research & Advocacy Coordinator for the EU-office of Transparency International since 2015.
