The Tired Dragon: Casting Doubts on China’s Economic Miracle

Between 2009 and 2010 Beijing has changed its economic growth strategy, from export-led growth towards a strategy which emphasizes the increase of domestic consumption and development of the domestic market more than before. However, the deep links between France and Africa which encompass political, economic and cultural spheres, are yet to be substantially subverted. The priorities underlying the relationship between France and Africa suggest interesting correlations with those of Italian policies for Africa.

Il crimine di aggressione dopo la Conferenza di Kampala: una soluzione di compromesso con ridotta efficacia dissuasiva

The first Review Conference on the Rome Statute marked an important moment in the evolution of international criminal law by identifying a shared definition of the crime of aggression.
This notwithstanding, the political compromise and some choices in the description of the crime are likely to undermine the deterrent effect of the rule which aims to criminalize State’s political and military leaders who commence or pursue a war of aggression.
