Antonio Giustozzi

Antonio Giustozzi is a visiting professor at the Kings College London. He holds a PhD from the LSE (International Relations) and a BA in Contemporary History from the University of Bologna. He was at the Crisis States Research Centre (LSE) until January 2011. He served with UNAMA (United Nations Assistance Mission to Afghanistan) in 2003-4. Currently also affiliated with RUSI.

Dalia Ghanem-Yazbeck

Dalia Ghanem is a Senior Analyst in charge of the Middle East and North Africa portfolio at the EUISS. Her research interests focus on EU-MENA relations. Before joining the EUISS, Dr. Ghanem was a senior resident scholar at the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut, where her research focused on Algeria’s political, economic, social and security developments. Her research also examined political violence, radicalisation, civil-military relationships, transborder dynamics and gender.

Carlo Frappi

Researcher at the Department of Asian and North African Studies of Venice “Ca' Foscari” University, Carlo Frappi is Associate Research Fellow for the Russia, Caucasus and Central Asia Centre at ISPI. Frappi, who holds a Ph.D. in European History, is also Adjunct Professor in Regional Studies at Catholic University of Milan and, since 2013, is a Member of the Board of Directors at the "Association for the Italian Study of Central Asia and the Caucasus" (ASIAC).

Mary Fitzgerald

Mary Fitzgerald is a researcher and consultant specialising in the Euro-Mediterranean region with a particular focus on Libya. She has reported on and researched Libya since February 2011 and lived there in 2014. She has conducted research on Libya for the International Crisis Group, European Council on Foreign Relations, European University Institute and United States Institute of Peace among others. She has consulted for a number of international organisations working in Libya including in the areas of peace building, local governance, and civil society.

Jean-Paul Fitoussi

Jean-Paul Fitoussi is Professor Emeritus at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), and professor at the LUISS University Guido Carli, Rome. He is also a Member of the Center for Capitalism and Society at Columbia University. Since 2013 he is Co-Chairman of the HLEG (High-Level Expert Group at the OECD) on the “Measurement of Economic Performances and Social Progress”. Fitoussi contributed to the creation and development of the EBRD.

Rabia Ferroukhi

As Director of the Knowledge, Policy and Finance Centre (KPFC), Dr. Rabia Ferroukhi oversees the Agency's work on a range of renewable energy policy issues including design, socio-economic benefits and integrated resource management. Dr. Ferroukhi joined IRENA in 2011 and has over 20 years of experience in the fields of energy, development and environment. She worked in both public and private sectors, including with governments in the Middle-East and North Africa, energy companies in the Mediterranean region and the GCC, and international institutions. Dr.

Filippo Fasulo

Before joining ISPI Filippo Fasulo served as the Director of the Italy-China Foundation's Centre on Business Research (CeSIF). In 2014, he earned a Ph.D. in Politics and Istitutions from the Catholic University of Milan with a dissertation on the concept of power in China's politics that was awarded the Cesare Bonacossa Prize by the University of Pavia. In 2012, he received a MSc in China in Comparative Perspectives at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Since 2011, he has been lecturing on China-related topics at the Catholic University of Milan.

Giuseppe Famà

Giuseppe Famà joined Crisis Group in March 2018. As Head of EU Affairs, Giuseppe Famà follows European Union policies and developments and coordinates relationships with its institutions, designing and implementing targeted advocacy strategies on conflicts covered by Crisis Group. He also undertakes research and analysis of EU foreign and security policy developments, and oversees the delivery of projects in the same areas.

Giacomo Falchetta

Giacomo Falchetta is a Research Fellow at the ECIP division of CMCC. In parallel, he is an affiliated Research Scholar at IIASA – the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis. Giacomo is an energy and environmental economist with a strongly multidisciplinary background. His core working areas include energy poverty; the assessment of climate change impacts on energy demand and supply; the water-energy-food-nexus in developing countries; and the use of geospatial data analysis techniques.
