Mariya Y. Omelicheva

Dr. Mariya Y. Omelicheva is a Professor of Strategy at National War College. She holds PhD (2007) in Political Science from Purdue University and JD in International Law (2000) from Moscow National Law Academy. Dr. Omelicheva’s research and teaching interests include international and Eurasian security, counterterrorism and human rights, democracy promotion in the post-Soviet territory, Russia’s foreign and security policy, gender and security, and crime-terror nexus in Eurasia.

Mattia Olivari is an Economist working in the OECD Innovation Policies for Space and Oceans Unit, in the Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation (STI). His current research focuses on the assessment of socio-economic impacts of space policies, as well as on the analysis and development of economic and innovation indicators related to space industries. Mattia contributed to and authored several reports and scientific papers published internally to the OECD as well as in external journals.

Rose Ngugi

Rose Ngugi is the Executive Director of the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) and serves as the Secretary to the Board. She is involved in providing technical guidance and capacity building on policy and strategy formulation to the Government of Kenya and other stakeholders, with the overall aim of contributing to the achievement of national development goals. Before then, she was a Senior Advisor in the Office of Executive Director, Africa Group 1, International Monetary Fund, and Washington D.C. Dr.

Alberto Negri has been special and war correspondent for “Il Sole 24 Ore” for the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and the Balkans from 1987 to 2017. At the beginning of his career, he was a researcher at ISPI and the editor of its weekly magazine “Relazioni  Internazionali”.

Antonella Mori

Antonella Mori is Head of the ISPI Latin America Programme. Ph.D. in Economics at the Catholic University of Milan; MSc in Economics of Latin America, University of London and BA in Economics and Social Sciences at Bocconi University. She teaches Macroeconomics and Economic Prospects at Bocconi University and Macroeconomics and Political Economy at the Master's course in Diplomacy at ISPI. In 2011 she received an official award from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for having favoured the strengthening of Italian-Latin American relations.

Sergio Miracola

Sergio Miracola has served as a Research Fellow at ISPI at ISPI. He obtained his Ph.D. in Political History at IMT Advanced Studies of Lucca, Italy, with a dissertation on Chinese Strategic Culture. During his Ph.D. he has also been a Visiting Research Student at Peking University (BeiDa). Moreover, he is a Junior Researcher at CSCC (Center for the Study of Contemporary China) and a collaborator for the Italian online newspaper Cinaforum.

Alessandro Minuto-Rizzo

Alessandro Minuto-Rizzo is a former ambassador and has held terms of office in Washington, Prague, Paris and Brussels. He has an extensive experience in European policies, aerospace, European structural funds, the European Space Agency, and international security. He has taken part and chaired a number of committees concerned with economic and industrial issues both in Italy and abroad, i.e., as Chairman of the Administrative and Financial Committee of the European Space Agency.

Rory Medcalf is the Head of the National Security College. He has more than two decades of experience across diplomacy, intelligence analysis, think tanks and journalism, including a formative role as Director of the International Security Program at the Lowy Institute. His research areas include Australia's security challenges, the further development of an Indo-Pacific concept of the Asian strategic environment, China-India relations, and prospects for maritime and nuclear stability in Indo-Pacific Asia.
