Luigi Limone was a Research Trainee for the Africa Programme. Before joining ISPI, he worked for the Secretariat of the Unit on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs at the European Parliament in Brussels. He graduated in Geopolitics and International Relations of Asia and Africa, with a major in Middle Eastern Affairs and Euro-mediterranean cooperation, from the University of Naples "L'Orientale". Additionally, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation from the University of Milan.
A graduate of University of Naples ‘L’Orientale’, Gennaro Gervasio is currently Associate Professor in History and Politics of the Middle East and North Africa at University Roma Tre’s Department of Humanities in Italy. Prior to that, he has worked at the University of Bristol (UK), the British University in Egypt, and Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia where he was Director of the Centre of Middle East and North African Studies (2009/11).
Gabriele Della Morte is an Associate Professor of International Law at the Law Faculty of the Catholic University of Milan and a Lawyer admitted on the List of Defence Counsel of the International Criminal Court.

Chiara A. Cascino was Research Assistant at the ISPI's MENA Center. She holds a BA in Modern Languages (English, Spanish and Arabic) from the University of Palermo and a MA in Arab and Islamic Studies from the University of Naples “L’Orientale”. She is also concluding a Master’s Degree in Economics and Institutions of Islamic Countries at the School of Government of the LUISS University, Rome. Her research interests focus on the history, institutions and society of Middle East and North Africa and the trends of contemporary Islam.
Paolo Calzini is a Scientific Advisor at ISPI. He works as research fellow at Bundesinstitut für Ostwissenschaftliche und Internationale Studien and has been visiting professor at the University of Milan, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, SAIS Washington, the University of Bologna and the Istituto Universitario Orientale. Calzini has been visiting lecturer at several universities and institutes, such as the NATO Defense College, the Freie Universität, Wilton Park, the Gorbachev Foundation, the Istituto Diplomatico degli Esteri and the Centro Alti Studi per la Difesa....
