Frank Maracchione is a PhD candidate of the School of East Asian Studies and recipient of an ESRC White Rose Pathway Award at the University of Sheffield, England. He was also a visiting research student at the Renmin University of China in Beijing, where he conducted research for his Master’s thesis on counterterrorism in Xinjiang and Central Asia. His area of interest includes Chinese foreign policy and foreign aid (particularly in Central Asia and along the Belt and Road), together with Central Asian politics and international relations.

Emanuela Mangiarotti is lecturer of History of India and Southeast Asia at the University of Pavia. Her research focuses on Indian politics and society, gender and conflicts and ethnopolitical conflicts. She obtained her PhD in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent (Brussels School of International Studies).

Claudia Adele Lodetti holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages and International Relations from the Catholic University of Milan and a Master's Degree in Comparative International Relations from Ca' Foscari University of Venice with a specialization in Europe and East Asia relations. She previously worked for the Italian Trade Agency FDI attraction department and she is member and contributor for Il Caffè Geopolitico, a cultural association with the aim of spreading knowledge of geopolitics and international relations.
Luigi Limone was a Research Trainee for the Africa Programme. Before joining ISPI, he worked for the Secretariat of the Unit on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs at the European Parliament in Brussels. He graduated in Geopolitics and International Relations of Asia and Africa, with a major in Middle Eastern Affairs and Euro-mediterranean cooperation, from the University of Naples "L'Orientale". Additionally, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation from the University of Milan.
Yang Li Allen is a Ph.D. candidate from the Department of Politics, The New School for Social Research. Prior to The New School, Yang received two MA degrees, one in political science from George Mason University and the other in area studies, focusing on China and East Asia, from Yonsei University (Seoul, South Korea). Yang's academic interests relate to the divides between rural and urban China, such as comparisons of governance, policies, and experiences in the countryside and cities.

Mr Le Corre currently is a Fellow-in-residence at CY Cergy-Paris University and ESSEC-IRENE. He previously served as a Fellow in The Brookings Institution’s Foreign Policy Program and as a Senior Adviser to the French Defense Minister.
