Loris Zanatta is Professor of Latin American History at the University of Bologna (Italy). He is author of several books and articles, published in Europe and Latin America, and commentator on Latin America in various media. Among his works are "Del Estado liberal a la Nación católica. He is lecturer of International Relations at the Bocconi University (Milan), where he was also lecturer of European Economic Policies (2016-2018), and of ‘Structure of International Society’ at the IULM University. He is Non Resident Senior Fellow at the Chongyang Institute of the Renmin University (Beijing).

Prior to becoming associate professor at Keio University, served as a Special Adviser for NATO at the Embassy of Japan in Belgium (2005–08), a resident fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) on a GMF-Tokyo Foundation Fellowship (2009), and senior research fellow at the National Institute for Defense Studies. Currently he his Professor Emeritus of European Economic Policy at Bocconi University in Milan, where he was Rector in the period 2000-2004 and Full Professor between 1983 and 2011. He was the Chairman of the Italian Group of the Trilateral Commission (2003-2016) and he has been a member of the board of scientific Foundations and Institutions and an advisor to various Italian and foreign research Institutes, to Italian public Institutions and to the European Union.

His Highness Khaleefa Muhammad Sanusi II was the 14th Fulani Emir of Kano in Nigeria (from 2014 – 2019) and has been appointed Grand Khaleefa of Tijjaniyya Movement in 2021. In 1985, he launched a distinguished banking career, becoming Group Managing Director of First Bank Nigeria in 2009. His Highness was appointed Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria in 2009. He pursued a campaign against high level governmental corruption in Nigeria and pioneered the introduction of Islamic banking into the Nigerian banking sector.
