Armando Sanguini is Senior Scientific Advisor at ISPI. He started his diplomatic career as commercial attaché in Ethiopia and then in Spain as Vice-Ambassador.
Rocco Walter Ronza is Associate Research Fellow at ISPI for the Africa Programme and Adjunct professor at the Department of Political Sciences of the Catholic University of Milan. He holds a PhD in Sociology and Social Research from the University of Trento. He taught courses and seminars at ASERI in Milan, the Pazmany Peter Catholic University in Budapest, and the University of Stellenbosch, where he is a recurrent visiting researcher.
Fernando Reinares, Senior Associate Research Fellow at ISPI Radicalization and International Terrorism Centre, is director of the Program on Global Terrorism at Elcano Royal Institute and Professor of Political Science and Security Studies at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, both in Madrid, as well as Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Fabio Petito is Senior Associate Research Fellow in ISPI and Head of the "Religions and International Relations" Programme promoted by ISPI and the Freedom of Religion or Belief & Foreign Policy Initiative (FoRB&FPI), University of Sussex - UK. He is Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Sussex. He has taught at SOAS in London, the ESCP-EAP in Paris and at ‘L’Orientale’ in Naples.
Prior to joining Chatham House, Matthew worked as an assistant manager at Deloitte UK, advising on structural reform of the banking sector and implementation of new prudential regulations stemming from the 2008 financial crisis. Before London, he previously served in several political and public sector positions in Washington D.C. Matthew holds a Masters in Public Administration from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Public Policy studies from the University of Chicago.
Alberto Negri has been special and war correspondent for “Il Sole 24 Ore” for the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and the Balkans from 1987 to 2017. At the beginning of his career, he was a researcher at ISPI and the editor of its weekly magazine “Relazioni Internazionali”.
Mr. Giampiero Massolo is President of ISPI since January 2017. He has also been Chairman of Fincantieri Spa since May 2016. He was appointed Deputy Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister on October 1993. In 1994, he was designated Principal Private Secretary to the Prime Minister. Since June 1996 he served as Head of the Press and Information Office and the Minister’s spokesman at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since September 2001, he served as Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Giampiero Massolo è Presidente dell’Istituto per gli Studi di Politica Internazionale dal gennaio 2017 e Presidente di Fincantieri SpA dal maggio 2016. Dall’ottobre 1993 è stato Consigliere diplomatico aggiunto del Presidente del Consiglio e poi dal giugno 1994 Capo della Segreteria del Presidente del Consiglio. Nel giugno 1996 è divenuto Capo del Servizio Stampa e Informazione della Farnesina e Portavoce del Ministro degli Esteri.
