John Seaman joined Ifri in 2009, where he specializes in the geopolitics and political economy of energy and natural resources in Asia, with a focus on China and Japan. Mr. Seaman holds a Master in International Affairs - International Security from Sciences Po, Paris, a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics from Seattle University, and studied as a NSEP David L. Boren Scholar at the Beijing Center for Chinese Studies (2002-03).

Juliette Schwak is Assistant Professor of International Relations and Political Science at Franklin University Switzerland. She holds a PhD from City University of Hong Kong and a BA and MA from Sciences Po Paris. She is a specialist of South Korea’s political economy. She has published on nation branding and foreign aid, and she worked and conducted research in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

Ryo Sahashi is Associate Professor, International Relations Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia, University of Toko and Research Fellow at the Japan Center for International Exchange. He specializes in international politics and is currently focusing on regional security architecture in Asia as well as Japanese security policy. Professor Sahashi received his BA from the International Christian University and his Ph.D. from the Graduate Schools for Law and Politics at the University of Tokyo in 2008.
Dr. Jagannath Panda is the Head of the Stockholm Centre for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs (SCSA-IPA) at the Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP), Sweden.
Dr. Ngeow Chow-Bing is the Director of the Institute of China Studies at the University of Malaya. In addition, he has also been appointed a Special Senior Research Fellow at the National Institute for Global Strategy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (2017-2020).
Lkhagvasuren Munkhtuya (Associate Professor, Ph.D) is a director at the Office of ICT and Distance Education, Mongolian National University of Education, Mongolia. Munkhtuya has worked as a project leader and consultant for distance learning projects and others, most recently in Mongolia. She had to improve professional skills in Russia, Korea, Japan, China, Singapore and the USA.
Paola Morselli is a Research Trainee at ISPI. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Language, Culture and Society of Asia and Mediterranean Africa from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, with a specific focus on Korea, Japan and Cina, and is currently enrolled in the Master in European and International Studies at the University of Trento. As an exchange student she also spent an academic year at Seoul National University in South Korea.
