Ghassan Salamé served as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative (SRSG) and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), from 2017 until March 2020. In 2003, Mr. Salamé served as the Political Adviser to the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), where he played a crucial role in bringing together Iraqi factions. He was then appointed as Senior Adviser to the Secretary-General (2003-2007, 2012). In 2016, he joined the Commission on the Rakhine State (Myanmar) chaired by Kofi Annan. For most of his career, Mr.

Inna Rudolf is a Research Fellow at ICSR, pursuing her PhD at King’s College London’s Department of War Studies. She completed her master’s degree in political science and Islamic studies in 2012 at the University of Heidelberg, specialising in Conflict Resolution, Peace Building and Political Islam. During her studies, she headed the regional group on “Conflicts in the Middle East and Maghreb” at the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research. In addition to her field work in Iraq, she has lived in Libya, Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia and Palestine.
Alessandro Rubino is Lecturer in Economics at the University of Bari. Before completing his PhD in Energy Economics, he has worked at Ofgem as a Regulatory Economist. In addition, he has worked on the design and implementation of the incentive scheme for the national transmission system operator for gas and electricity. From June 2009 to July 2012, he has been a Research Assistant at the Florence School of Regulation (European University Institute) within the Robert Schuman Centre, a research unit specialised in applied economics.
Frank A. Rose is a senior fellow and the co-director of the Center for Security, Strategy, and Technology in the Foreign Policy program at the Brookings Institution. He focuses on nuclear strategy and deterrence, arms control, strategic stability, missile defense, outer space, and emerging security challenges.
Francesca Robbiati is ISPI Head of General Services. She holds a Msc in Economics and Management of Government and International Organizations from Bocconi University, Milan. After an internship at the DG for Human Resources at the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, she joined ISPI as Training courses programme manager. From 2005 to 2011 she was head of the ISPI School. From 2012 to 2019 she was Head for Operations and External Relations, in charge of staff management, economic planning and management control, supervision of extraordinary maintnance.
