Alessandro Tinti has a PhD in International Relations from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, where he specialised in environmental conflicts. During 2016 and 2017 he conducted field research in northern Iraq to explore the politics of natural resources. He also assisted the European Commission as consultant on migration issues. Currently, he is academic tutor at the University of Florence and lectures a course in Energy Policy at CET.

Sileo is a regular collaborator of the Polytechnic University of Bari and non-resident fellow at the Caspian Strategy Institute in Istanbul. Boren Scholar at the Beijing Center for Chinese Studies (2002-03).
