Alessandro Tinti has a PhD in International Relations from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, where he specialised in environmental conflicts. During 2016 and 2017 he conducted field research in northern Iraq to explore the politics of natural resources. He also assisted the European Commission as consultant on migration issues. Currently, he is academic tutor at the University of Florence and lectures a course in Energy Policy at CET.

Simone Tagliapietra is a Senior fellow at Bruegel. He is also Adjunct professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and at The Johns Hopkins University – SAIS Europe. Simone’s research activity focuses on climate and energy issues. He works on the EU climate and energy policy and on the political economy of global decarbonisation. With a record of numerous scientific publications, he is also the author of Global energy fundamentals (Cambridge University Press, 2020) and L’energia del mondo (Il Mulino, 2020).
Vita Spivak is analytical projects head at “Expert RA” credit rating agency. Prior to that she worked as the Russia in the Asia Pacific Program Coordinator at the Carnegie Moscow Center. Her research interests focus on contemporary Chinese economy and foreign investment in the energy sector, the anti-corruption campaign in the PRC, and the development of the One Belt, One Road Initiative.
Andrea Sommariva is Associate Professor of Practice and director of the multidisciplinary research laboratory on the evolution of the space economy (SEE Lab) at the SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is an international economist specializing in international finance, the markets for oil and raw materials, renewable energy, and development of the space economy. He is a member of the study group "Space Mineral Resources - Challenges and Opportunities" of the International Academy of Astronautics.
Felice Simonelli is a Senior Research Fellow and Head of Policy Evaluation at CEPS. Expert in better regulation, analysis of public policies and business competitiveness with over ten years of professional experience, Felice provided research and advisory services to various public institutions, trade associations, and private companies. He completed many research projects in the field of impact assessment, policy evaluation and competitiveness analysis for EU institutions.
Antonio Sileo is an expert in energy markets, energy and environmental policy, energy regulation and automotive. He is a research fellow at IEFE – Università Bocconi and at I-Com – Istituto per la Competitività, where he is also director of the Observatory on energy innovation. Sileo is a regular collaborator of the Polytechnic University of Bari and non-resident fellow at the Caspian Strategy Institute in Istanbul. He also holds the position of executive director at SEPConsulting.
John Seaman joined Ifri in 2009, where he specializes in the geopolitics and political economy of energy and natural resources in Asia, with a focus on China and Japan. Mr. Seaman holds a Master in International Affairs - International Security from Sciences Po, Paris, a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics from Seattle University, and studied as a NSEP David L. Boren Scholar at the Beijing Center for Chinese Studies (2002-03).
