Rory Medcalf is the Head of the National Security College. He has more than two decades of experience across diplomacy, intelligence analysis, think tanks and journalism, including a formative role as Director of the International Security Program at the Lowy Institute. His research areas include Australia's security challenges, the further development of an Indo-Pacific concept of the Asian strategic environment, China-India relations, and prospects for maritime and nuclear stability in Indo-Pacific Asia.

Julian May is the Director of the DSI-NRF Centre of Excellence in Food Security at the University of the Western Cape and holds the UNESCO Chair in African Food Systems. He is an economist and has worked on options for poverty reduction including public nutrition, land reform, social grants, information technology and urban agriculture. He has published extensively, and has served on international and national expert groups, as well as on the South African Statistics Council and the Council of the Academy of Science of South Africa.
Giampiero Massolo has been President of Atlantia since 29 April 2022 and President of ISPI since 2017. Ambassador Massolo, a career diplomat, has served as Director-General of the Department of Information for Security under the Prime Minister’s office (2012-16), as Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister for the G8 and G20 summits (2008-09), and as Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2007-12).
Francesco Marone is an Associate Research Fellow at the ISPI Center on Radicalization and International Terrorism. He holds a PhD in Political Science and is currently an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Pavia. He is also an Associate Fellow at the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism – The Hague (ICCT). He held research fellowships and visiting positions in the UK, Israel, Croatia and the Netherlands.
Andrea Manciulli is Senior Associate Research Fellow at ISPI. He is Head of Italy’s Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA, 2014-2018) and since November 2017 he is President of the NATO PA-GSM (Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group). From 2015 to 2017 he was Rapporteur of NATO PA-GSM in charge of the reports on: "Daesh: the challenge to regional and international security", "The expansion of Daesh to Libya and the Western Mediterranean" and "ISIL/DAESH and al-Qaeda threat to Europe".

Mr Agon Maliqi is a policy analyst, activist, and media writer based in Prishtina, Kosovo. He is the creator and co-founder of Sbunker, an Albanian language current affairs and ideas blog giving voice to a younger generation of scholars, writers, and activists from the Western Balkans. He is also a visiting fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy.
