Dr. Tim Wittig is a Senior Research Fellow at Globalisation Studies Groningen (GSG). He is also director of the Center for Security and Sustainability and Adjunct Professor at George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies.
Matthew Wilson is Associate Professor of Political Science and Senior Fellow in the John Goodwin Tower Center for Political Studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He also serves as Director of SMU’s Center for Faith and Learning, as well as Lead Curriculum Advisor for the George W. Bush Presidential Center’s Liberty and Leadership Program. He holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from Duke University, as well as a B.A. in History and Political Science from Louisiana State University.
Catherine WIHTOL de WENDEN is Director of research at CNRS (CERI). For 30 years she has been a researcher on international migration, from a Political Science and Public Law approach. She studied in Sciences-Po Paris and University Paris I (Panthéon- Sorbonne) She got her Ph D in Political Science in 1986. She has published 20 books, alone or as co-writer and around 150 articles.
Sara Vigil is Associate Research Fellow at ISPI for the Africa Programme. Sara is a Research Associate at the Hugo Observatory of the University of Liège (ULg) (Belgium) and at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands) where she is completing her PhD on the interconnections between climate change politics, land grabbing, and migration (with a focus on Senegal and Cambodia). At ISS, she is a member of the MOSAIC project: ‘Climate change mitigation policies, land grabbing and conflict in fragile states’.
Arturo Varvelli is Senior Research Fellow at ISPI and Co-Head of ISPI's Middle East and North Africa Centre, in charge of North Africa Studies. He also works as a scholar on topics such as Italian-Libyan relations, Libyan domestic and foreign politics, Italian foreign policy in the Middle East and Mediterranean region, Jihadist groups in North Africa, having published both books and articles on these subjects.
Lorenzo Vidino is an academic and security expert specialised in Islamism and political violence within Europe and North America. Currently, he directs the Radicalization and International Terrorism Centre at ISPI. He is the Director of the Programme on Extremism at George Washington University. He also worked at ETH Zurich, the RAND Corporation, Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University, and the U.S. Institute of Peace.
Carlo Trezza was Italy's Ambassador to the Republic of Korea and Ambassador for Disarmament and Non proliferation in Geneva. He chaired the Missile Technology Control Regime, the UN Secretary General's Advisory Board for Disarmament Matters in New York and the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva.
