Mareike Transfeld is the Head of Research at YPC, where she manages the research components of various projects in the fields of security sector, civil society and media. She is PhD candidate at the Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies (BGSMCS), Freie Universität Berlin. She is currently Associate Fellow at the Center for Applied Research in Partnership with the Orient in Bonn, and until 2015 was a Research Fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin. She is a former co-editor of Muftah’s Yemen and Gulf countries pages.
Inna Rudolf is a Research Fellow at ICSR, pursuing her PhD at King’s College London’s Department of War Studies. She completed her master’s degree in political science and Islamic studies in 2012 at the University of Heidelberg, specialising in Conflict Resolution, Peace Building and Political Islam. During her studies, she headed the regional group on “Conflicts in the Middle East and Maghreb” at the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research. In addition to her field work in Iraq, she has lived in Libya, Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia and Palestine.
Antonino Occhiuto, based in Rome, completed his postgraduate studies in London at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) where he obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in International Politics, a course specifically focused on the Middle East and security and defence affairs. His main areas of research and specialisation are the relations between EU and GCC member states, internal political dynamics in the GCCs, Yemen and security in the Gulf.
Giorgio Napolitano è stato eletto alla Camera dei Deputati per la prima volta nel 1953 ed è stato membro del Parlamento fino al 1996, sempre rieletto nella circoscrizione di Napoli. Nell'ottava e nona legislatura (dal 1981 fino al 1986) ha presieduto il gruppo Comunista della Camera dei Deputati.
Roberta Maggi is a Project Assistant at DCAF – Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance’s Middle East and North Africa Division, where her work focuses on Libya and Yemen. Her research interests include security sector reform, armed group formation and the politics of (re)integration in conflict and post-conflict environments.
Leyla Hamad is a PhD researcher specialized in Yemen and a guest professor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
Giacomo Guarini è legale d’azienda nel settore della logistica e dei trasporti dopo una pregressa esperienza in studio legale e l’abilitazione alla professione forense. Laureato presso l’Università Roma Tre, è dottorando e cultore della materia presso Sapienza Università di Roma. Ha svolto attività di ricerca presso think tank italiani su diritto e politica internazionale ed è autore di diverse pubblicazioni in argomento.
