Alice Gavazzi was Research Trainee for the Cybersecurity Centre at ISPI. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and she's attending a Master's Degree in International Relations and Security Studies at the University of Florence. Before joining ISPI, Alice worked as a Research Trainee for B.V. Tech S.p.A., conducting research on Computer Emergency Response Teams and Cyber and Information Warfare and working on the construction of a normative cybersecurity framework for the Lombardia region.

David J. Garcia Cantalapiedra holds a PhD in Political Science (Honors) by the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). He was awarded the 2001 National Award of Defense by the Spanish Ministry of Defense. He currently is Professor at the Department of International Relations of the Faculty of Political Sciences, and Director of the UCM Research Group for Security and Cooperation.
Giorgio Fruscione is Research Fellow and publications editor at ISPI. Before joining ISPI, Giorgio has been living for years in the Balkans, working as freelance journalist for several Italian and international media outlets, like EastWest, Venerdì di Repubblica and Balkan Insight. Since 2010, he has also been deputy director and news correspondent from the Balkans for East Journal.
Lorenzo Fruganti is a Research Assistant at the ISPI MENA Centre. He holds a Bachelor’s in International and Diplomatic Sciences and a Master’s in Diplomacy and International Cooperation from the University of Trieste, as well as a MSc in Middle East Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS, University of London). Prior to joining ISPI, he worked as a Blue Book trainee at the European Commission’s DG NEAR.
Francesca Frassineti is Associate Research Fellow at ISPI Asia Centre and Pan-European Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR).
Researcher at the Department of Asian and North African Studies of Venice “Ca' Foscari” University, Carlo Frappi is Associate Research Fellow for the Russia, Caucasus and Central Asia Centre at ISPI. Frappi, who holds a Ph.D. in European History, is also Adjunct Professor in Regional Studies at Catholic University of Milan and, since 2013, is a Member of the Board of Directors at the "Association for the Italian Study of Central Asia and the Caucasus" (ASIAC).
Fabio Figiaconi has a Master’s degree in International Public Policy and Management from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, and one in Contemporary History from the University of Milan. He recently completed a traineeship at the Political Affairs Division of the European Union’s Delegation to Laos, and previously worked for the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Vietnam.
He is a contributor to “The Diplomat”, the premier international affairs magazine on the Asia-Pacific area.
