Nicola Morfini is an expert in Latin American politics and security. His articles can be found in Al Jazeera, Foreign Affairs, and Forbes, among other international media outlets. He currently works as an Anti-Money Laundering expert for a multinational firm. Previously, he was a professor of International Politics, and Deputy Director of the MBA Program at the Pan-American University - IPADE Business School (Mexico City). Nicola has extensive research and teaching experience in several think tanks and universities in Europe, Latin America, and Central Asia.

Giacomo Montrasio was a Research Trainee for the Europe and Global Governance Centre. He previously worked in private companies, in charge of the internationalization process. After a bachelor in International and European Studies, he obtained a MA degree in International Relations at the University of Milan. He holds a MBA from Luiss Business School and he has recently concluded ISPI’s Master in Diplomacy.
Alberto Monteverdi holds a Second Level Master in Economics at the LUISS School of European Political Economy (SEP). He also attended courses in political economy at the London School of Economics (LSE) and the Institute for Studies on Economics and Employment (ISEO). He worked as a researcher at LUISS Research Centre on International and European Organizations and at Ministry of Economy and Finance. Today he works for one of the major Italian banking groups.
Carlo Mongini is a Research Assistant at the Europe and Global Governance Programme. He holds an MA in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and an MSc in Public Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He writes for online journals and newspapers about European politics. Prior to joining ISPI, he collaborated with a US-based geopolitical consultancy as an expert on Italian politics and interned with an MEP in Brussels.
Nicola Missaglia heads ISPI's Communications and Publishing department. He also is a Research Fellow at ISPI's Asia Centre, in charge of the India Desk. Before joining ISPI, he has served for several years as the Scientific Coordinator and Managing Editor for the international think tank Reset-Dialogues on Civilizations. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy and a Research Master’s degree in Political Theory and Contemporary History from Sciences Po Paris’ Doctoral School (France) and has extensive experience in managing projects in the MENA region and India.
In January 2021, Dr. Stormy-Annika Mildner (M.Sc.) became the Executive Director of the Aspen Institute Germany in Berlin. As adjunct lecturer, she teaches at the Hertie School classes on political economy.
Karim Mezran is a Resident Senior Fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East. As a distinguished Libyan-Italian scholar, he brings significant depth of understanding to the processes of political change in North Africa. He is an Adjunct Professor of Middle East Studies at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and also a Non-Resident Fellow at ISPI. Previously, he was Director of the Center for American Studies in Rome.
Professor of Economics at the Department of Political Science, LUISS University (Rome), and the Director of the LUISS School of European Political Economy. He taught in the Department of Economics, University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’ from the mid-1990s until the 2011/12 academic year. He is the Chairman of the Scientific Committee of CER (Rome).
