Giampiero Massolo

Giampiero Massolo has been President of Atlantia since 29 April 2022 and President of ISPI since 2017. Ambassador Massolo, a career diplomat, has served as Director-General of the Department of Information for Security under the Prime Minister’s office (2012-16), as Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister for the G8 and G20 summits (2008-09), and as Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2007-12).

Giampiero Massolo

Giampiero Massolo è presidente dell’Istituto per gli Studi di Politica Internazionale - ISPI (dal 2017) e presidente di Atlantia (dal 29 aprile 2022). L’ambasciatore Massolo, diplomatico di carriera, ha svolto funzioni di direttore generale del Dipartimento delle Informazioni per la Sicurezza presso la Presidenza del Consiglio (2012-2016), di sherpa del Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri per i Vertici G8 e G20 (2008-2009), di segretario generale del Ministero degli Affari Esteri (2007-2012).

Donato Masciandaro

Donato Masciandaro, born in Italy in 1961, from 2010 is Full Professor of Economics. From 2005 he holds the Chair in Economics of Financial Regulation, at Bocconi University. From 2013 he is Head of the Department of Economics; he was already Department Head from 2008 to 2010. From 2015 he is President of the BAFFI CAREFIN Centre for Applied Research on International Markets, Banking, Finance and Regulation; he was already Director of the Centre (2008-2014).

Luigi Martino

Luigi Martino (PhD) teaches Cyber Security and ICT Policies at the School of Political Science “Cesare Alfieri” at the University of Florence and he is the coordinator of the Center for Cyber Security and International Relations Studies (CCSIRS) a specialized observatory of the CSSII. He obtained the PhD at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa with a research project focused on the protection of critical infrastructures from cyber attacks in Italy through a public-private partnership model.

Lorena Stella Martini

Lorena Stella Martini was Research Trainee for the Middle East and North Africa Centre at ISPI. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Languages for International Relations and a Master of Arts (MA) in Middle Eastern Studies from ASERI (Postgraduate School of Economics and International Relations, Milan). Prior to this, she worked for two NGOs and for a Tunisian governmental organization. Her research interests focus on Middle East politics and society.

Frank Maracchione

Frank Maracchione is a PhD candidate of the School of East Asian Studies and recipient of an ESRC White Rose Pathway Award at the University of Sheffield, England. He was also a visiting research student at the Renmin University of China in Beijing, where he conducted research for his Master’s thesis on counterterrorism in Xinjiang and Central Asia. His area of interest includes Chinese foreign policy and foreign aid (particularly in Central Asia and along the Belt and Road), together with Central Asian politics and international relations.

Emanuela Mangiarotti is lecturer of History of India and Southeast Asia at the University of Pavia. Her research focuses on Indian politics and society, gender and conflicts and ethnopolitical conflicts. She obtained her PhD in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent (Brussels School of International Studies).
