Lucia Ragazzi is a research fellow for the Africa Programme at ISPI. Before joining ISPI, she worked as a project manager at the University of Liège, as an editor and independent researcher at the African Studies Centre Leiden, and as a project officer in the development sector. She has been a Blue Book trainee at DG INTPA in Brussels, working in the unit Strategic Partnerships EU-ACP and EU-African Union.

Lia Quartapelle is a Research Fellow of the Africa Programme at ISPI. She lectures the module of Policies for Development Cooperation at the University of Pavia. She is an economist by training and she holds degrees from the Universities of Pavia and Florence. She got a Master of Science in Economics with reference to Africa at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and a PhD in Development Economics at the University of Pavia with a dissertation on aid and employment in Ghana and Mozambique.
Maddalena Procopio is Associate Research Fellow at ISPI for the Africa Programme. She holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics. She is currently political analyst for sub-Saharan Africa at Eni.
Tena Prelec is a Doctoral Researcher at Sussex University, School of Law, Politics and Sociology, and a Research Associate at LSEE-Research on South Eastern Europe, European Institute, London School of Economics and Political Science.
Responsabile del programma “Ue, politica e istituzioni” e responsabile delle relazioni istituzionali dello IAI, Nicoletta Pirozzi si occupa principalmente di governance dell’Unione europea, aspetti politici e istituzionali della Pesc/Psdc, gestione civile delle crisi, rapporti tra Ue e Nazioni Unite e relazioni Ue-Africa. È professore a contratto presso il Dipartimento di Scienze politiche dell’Università degli Studi “Roma Tre” ” e Associate Analyst presso l’EU Institute for Security Studies (EU-ISS) di Parigi.
Cristina Kiran Piotti is an Indian-Italian freelance journalist graduated from the Journalism school at Milan University and holds a Master in Global approach to management in India from Ca' Foscari Challenge School, Venice. She lives between Milan and Mumbai and contributes to several Italian and Indian newspapers and magazines, including D - Repubblica, Sole 24 Ore, HTSI, Wired, and Mint.
Stefano Pilotto è Professore di Storia delle Relazioni Internazionali e Direttore del Programma Origini presso MIB Trieste School of Management (Trieste, Italia). Ha studiato all’Università degli Studi di Trieste (Italia), all’Università di Harvard (Stati Uniti d’America), a Sciences Po Paris (Francia) e all’Università di Roma La Sapienza (Italia), conseguendo il Dottorato di Ricerca in Storia delle Relazioni Internazionali sotto la guida del Prof. Pietro Pastorelli.
