Mary Fitzgerald is a researcher and consultant specialising in the Euro-Mediterranean region with a particular focus on Libya. She has reported on and researched Libya since February 2011 and lived there in 2014. She has conducted research on Libya for the International Crisis Group, European Council on Foreign Relations, European University Institute and United States Institute of Peace among others. She has consulted for a number of international organisations working in Libya including in the areas of peace building, local governance, and civil society.
Aldo Ferrari (PhD) is Head of the Russia, Caucasus and Central Asia Program at the Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) in Milan. He is Professor of Armenian Culture, History of the Caucasus and Central Asia, and History of the Russian Culture at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, where he is also Director of the ELEO Master’s Degree in Languages and Economies of Eastern Europe. Co-founder (2004) and President (2013-2016) of the Association of Italian Studies on Central Asia and the Caucasus (ASIAC), he is Editor of the series “Eurasiatica.
Pasquale Ferrara has been appointed as Italy's Special Envoy for Libya in January 2021. Between October 2106 to November 2020, he served as Italian Ambassador in Algeria. Since 1984, he engaged in both bilateral and multilateral diplomacy, having served in the US, Brussels (EU), Greece and Chile. He was also Secretary General of the European University Institute in Florence. As Director of the Policy Planning at the Italian MFA, he launched a new program on Religion and International Relations.

Aurélia is the Mixed Migration Manager for West Africa since August 2020. She first joined the MMC West Africa Team as 4Mi Project Manager in January 2020. Aurélia has been working for the past decade on community-led development and human rights both the Senegal-based NGO Tostan and Amnesty International Headquarters in the UK. She also worked as the Press attaché for the French Embassy in Senegal and as a legal intern at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia.
Giuseppe Dentice (Ph.D) is an Associate Research Fellow at the Middle East and North Africa Centre at ISPI, where he is researching on geopolitical and security issues in the MENA region, and Teaching Assistant at the Catholic University in Milan.
His research interests apply also on Egypt, Israel and Gulf monarchies, and socio-political transformations in the Greater Middle East.
